It’s designed for people who already know about Indigenous history and the impacts of colonization we’re facing today.
Teaching style is mostly reading text, studying images/music /informative videos, questions and journal reflections.

Kyley Diamond is of Settler descent (71% England/NW Europe), born on Treaty 6 and raised on Treaty 7 Territory.
As a child her parents took her to every single cultural event they could drive to, trying to expose her to the greater world while living in a very White society.
After traveling in Southern Africa at 24, Diamond went back to Uni to get a B.Ed in Humanities and Indigenous Studies, then return to Africa for a year of backpacking around seeing what’s going on, then a few years of hiking and creating.
This combination of places gives Diamond the gift/burden of being a bridge between worlds- understanding of the Settler Colonial experience/worldview mixed with lived Decolonizing.
This course is derived from teaching an Indigenous Literature course.

However, I’m also a teacher who was mostly in school in the 90s so it’s likely much more designed for that style of learner.
